Martha McSweeney Brower
I’m a Bostonian who answered an ad in the Boston Globe for an art teaching position in mid-coast Maine 43 years ago. I live in Camden with my husband and dog after launching three sons.
My essays are included in “Guideposts,” “Maine Women,” “Maine Senior,” “Wanderlust,” and “Deep Wild” magazines. I’ve contributed to Courier Publications and had my essay included in the Audio Awards-nominated anthology “Nevertheless We Persisted”. Atlantic magazine’s college competition for poetry awarded me an honorable mention.
I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art, the same college my mother attended. In 2019 I earned a masters degree in creative non-fiction from University of Maine’s Stonecoast program.
